This currently a debate in the literature, where empirical results are inconclusive. Building on related literature nudges, we add this with controlled field experiment (N = 5704). To best of our knowledge, first study investigate effects honesty-nudges self-reported filing experiment. designed and tested three customers: (1) signing-at-the-beginning, (2) descriptive social norm message, (3) solidarity message. Across five outcome measures, found that honesty-nudges, standalone or any possible combination, do not have significant reducing indicators fraud. interestingly, all treatment groups significantly characters describe losses than control group. Also, post hoc analyses, signs direction varies across customers' age customer loyalty.

Employment contracts are often incomplete, leaving many responsibilities subject to workers’ discretion. High work morale is therefore essential for sustaining voluntary cooperation and high productivity in firms. We conducted a field experiment to test whether workers reciprocate wage cuts and raises with low or high work productivity. Wage cuts had a detrimental and persistent impact on produ...

Do Workers Work More When Wages Are High? Evidence from a Randomized Field Experiment Most previous studies on intertemporal labor supply found very small or insignificant substitution effects. It is not clear, however, whether these results are due to institutional constraints on workers’ labor supply choices or whether the behavioral assumptions of the standard life cycle model with time sepa...
متن کاملDo Workers Work More if Wages Are High? Evidence from a Randomized Field Experiment
Most previous studies on intertemporal labor supply found very small or insignificant substitution effects. It is possible that these results are due to constraints on workers’ labor supply choices. We conducted a field experiment in a setting in which workers were free to choose hours worked and effort per hour. We document a large positive elasticity of overall labor supply and an even larger...
